No one was injured when fire swept through the attic of this Cook Rd. residence Tuesday morning. The Crossville Fire Department was called to 964 Cook Rd. shortly after 8 a.m. Timothy Caird, Dawn, and two children had evacuated the residence. Fire Chief Mike Turner said the attic was fully involved when firefighters arrived. They rescued two cats that had sought refuge under a bed and were recovered unharmed. While the cause of the fire is under investigation, Turner said the initial belief is it was an electrical fire. Cumberland County Red Cross assisted the family.
