Participants in the 2013 Cumberland County Walks A Lot program logged their first few miles of activity Saturday at the program's kick off at Centennial Park. The goal of the 19-week program is to encourage everyone to make physical activity a personal habit and to enjoy the positive effects of getting active. Sponsors include the Cumberland County Health Department, Cumberland Medical Center, Walgreens, Kmart, Flowers Bakery, East Tennessee Dodge and Regions Bank. There is still time to sign up to participate in the program. Call Ruth at the Cumberland County Health Department at 707-2554. Participants can win numerous prizes.
