The 2013-'14 Lady Jets Basketball team led by Coach Radhika Miller, Coach Leslie Eldridge and lone senior Rebekah Teeple volunteered for and participated in in CMC Cardiac Support Group 5K race Saturday, Aug. 7. As part of their community service projects, the Lady Jets volunteered for registration duty beginning at 6:30 a.m. until the race started at 9. The Lady Jet coaches and all the players participated in the race, too. The girls have been doing conditioning training for the last few months and it showed during the race. The Lady Jets basketball team finished first in the "team" competition. Freshman Lindsey Norrod finished first among female runners, and several girls finished tops in their age groups.
