The first Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce/CTE (Career and Technical Education) Career Fair for high school juniors was held this week at the Cumberland County Community Complex. The career fair allowed high school juniors to see whats out there in the career world. Several colleges, technical schools, financial institutions, as well as local businesses and health care professionals, had representatives at the fair. Several branches of the U.S. Military were also represented. Some businesses even offered students a chance to apply for summer jobs or part-time employment. Above, Kate Doyle of Carson Newman College speaks with students about the possibilities of further education available at Carson Newman.
