Cancer survivors of all ages walked the Survivor's Lap during Cumberland County's Relay for Life fundraising event last Friday evening at the Cumberland County Community Complex. The event raises funds for the American Cancer Society and honors survivors, their caregivers and those who have passed away from the disease. This years Relay for Life, as of Tuesday afternoon, raised $124,255. The funds are not only used for research for better treatments of cancer, but they also fund various local programs that benefit cancer patients and their families. More funds will be coming in throughout the next few weeks. For more pictures from the event see Friday's Crossville Chronicle.
