Bear Creek 1.jpg

Cumberland County Highway Department road crews began work Monday on repairing Bear Creek Rd. in the loop area near the northern entrance of the road off Hwy. 127 N. Joey Whittenburg and Stanley Hall are working to re-open the road that was closed back at the beginning of June. Two six-foot culverts will be placed under the roadway, which are 80-feet in length and then the roadway will have to be filled in and built back up and leveled with the current road. Providing things run smoothly on the project, the project should be completed and the road opened later this week.
