It was a wet and rainy day July 4, but many residents, veterans and servicemen and women came out to celebrates the 237th birthday of this nation. The seventh annual Pro-Troop Rally went on as scheduled at the Cumberland County Courthouse, with special guests, including local and state government dignitaries and Sgt. Christopher Hancock and his family. Terri Utsey sang a special song thanking Hancock and the other veterans, particularly the Korean War Veterans Honor Guard, for their service.
