Fire season starts Oct. 15 and runs through May 15. Remember if you live outside of the city limits of Crossville in Cumberland County you are required to get a burn permit by calling 484-4548, 788-5538 or go to www.burnsafetn.org between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m Monday through Friday.
