Stone Memorial High School held its annual “Pink Out” night to promote awareness and support for breast cancer. October is traditionally known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This month, the Crossville Chronicle is asking all businesses and residents of the community to help Paint Cumberland County Pink Oct. 18. Community members are encouraged to participate by fundraising for an official breast cancer research and awareness organization, wearing pink or decorating their home, business, yard or vehicle with pink. A Facebook page has been set up at www.Facebook.com/paintcumberlandpink for the community to share photos of their pink decorations and clothing, and to also share their own personal stories and words of encouragement to women in the community.
